Description
Leon is a smart, decentralised emergency lighting unit for situations where reliability, flexibility and ease of maintenance are key. The unit operates fully independently from the regular lighting. This means the emergency lighting remains available when the standard lighting fails, while maintenance on the emergency lighting has no impact on the existing light line.
Leon is designed as a separate 1-metre unit and can be installed independently or integrated into Veko light lines. With a light output of 500 lumens, Leon provides reliable emergency lighting for a wide range of applications, such as warehouses, corridors, racking aisles, production areas, data centres and escape routes.
There is a suitable optic for every space. The corridor optic has an oval light distribution and is suitable for corridors, racking aisles and escape routes up to approximately 18 metres high. The wide optic has a broad light distribution and is ideal for open areas up to approximately 6 metres high. Leon also supports DALI monitoring, making the status of the emergency lighting easy to check and manage.

FAQ
What is the advantage of motion detectors?
Motion detectors or presence sensors are an excellent combination to be used with LED lighting, because they can directly turn on and off. This type of lighting is ideal in a hall, or a toilet, but it can also be used in a variety of industrial spaces and warehouses where people are working. Most LED lights are tested to survive 1,000,000 switching times, which is good for years of use. One tip: it is preferable to apply a motion detector separate from the luminaire, since the light source is likely to last longer than the sensor. Moreover, a defective sensor can prevent additional cost savings.
Can I program a MD-O presence detector from the factory settings?
Yes, using a remote control unit (TR61). You can program multiple presence detectors with one remote control.
I still use an old-type of presence detector. Which is the replacement model?
Do you currently use an ADR? The replacement model is the MD-O-MK2.
Do you currently use an ADVR? The replacement model is the MD-O-MK2.
Do you currently use an ADRI-13? The replacement model is the MD-O-3M.
Do you currently use an ADRO? The replacement model is the MD-O-BO.
All our MD-O presence detectors can be programmed by remote control, using the TR61.

The presence detector I have received is faulty. How can I return it?
Send your return request including order number to info@veko.com and describe the problem with the detector. We will then send you a return form with further instructions.
How can I get advice on my lighting system?

Is LED lighting dimmable?
The driver is the determining factor of how dimmable a lamp or luminaire is, and in what way this should be done. For example, drivers can work with DALI, 0-10V or TRIAC (phase cut). Whenever it is possible to dim LED lights, this is always preferable. If the LED can be dimmed by 30%, it can increase savings by 30%, as well as extend the lifespan of the light. Dimming can be done manually, for example, with integrated dimmers, or automatically with a system such as DALI. A DALI system automatically adjusts the dim level of illumination based on the amount of daylight in a room. This is done by placing a sensor with a control device in the room. This additional cost is usually returned within a very short time based on energy savings.
