Schagen, 24 November 2025 – The European performance standard EN 1838:2024, effective as of December 2024, introduces stricter requirements for the maintenance of emergency lighting, including mandatory annual inspections and detailed logbooks. This creates a significant dilemma for distribution centres, data centres, and production environments that operate 24/7: How can they meet inspection requirements without interrupting operations? Lighting specialist Veko Lightsystems International introduces a solution to this challenge: Leon, a decentralised emergency lighting system that functions independently from the main lighting infrastructure.

Schagen, November 6, 2025 – Royal FloraHolland and Veko Lightsystems are extending their partnership once again by two years, continuing a tradition that has lasted for a quarter of a century. Since 1999, Veko has been lighting Royal FloraHolland’s auction sites with innovative linear lighting – from outbound areas to loading bays and box holder spaces.

At Veko Lightsystems, sustainability is not a stand-alone project, but an integral part of our business operations and product development. As a manufacturer of industrial lighting solutions, we focus not only on energy-efficient products, but also on how they are produced, transported, installed, and used.

Improved light distribution and higher efficiency help distribution centers become more sustainable
