Schagen, November 6, 2025 – Royal FloraHolland and Veko Lightsystems are extending their partnership once again by two years, continuing a tradition that has lasted for a quarter of a century. Since 1999, Veko has been lighting Royal FloraHolland’s auction sites with innovative linear lighting – from outbound areas to loading bays and box holder spaces.
“This extension shows that sustainability and continuity are key values for Royal FloraHolland,” says Elmer Bruijnooge, Managing Director at Veko Lightsystems. “And that we’ve been aligned on those values for the past 25 years.”
Since 1999, Veko has installed kilometres of lighting lines at Royal FloraHolland locations in Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk, and Rijnsburg – from outbound zones to loading and unloading areas and box holder spaces. The recent upgrades to LED installations significantly reduce energy consumption and support Royal FloraHolland’s sustainability goals, while maintaining the quality of lighting required for business operations.
One example is the project in Aalsmeer, completed in 2024. There, Veko replaced more than 2,300 outdated luminaires with LED lighting. The existing light line profiles were reused – a concrete example of how sustainability and efficiency go hand in hand.
This extended partnership marks another new chapter in the relationship between the two organisations. As Veko celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, both parties look ahead to further sustainable progress across the auction sites.
