From the AGU warehouse in Alkmaar, around 25,000 different bicycle articles find their way to addresses throughout the Benelux daily. Until recently, the warehouse was equipped with obsolete lighting without motion detectors. In order to realize nice energy savings, AGU therefore recently selected Low Power LED luminaires and motion detectors from Veko.
The choice for these fixtures was a conscious one, because we work with scanners in the warehouse. Non-blinding lighting is very important. Veko's Low Power LED luminaires meet these requirements and the amount of lumen is fine. We have more light now. Two Veko mechanics took care of the disassembly and assembly and we could continue our own activities. We did not have to look after, for example, the cleaning of packaging material. Our contact with Veko was good and very accessible. I had expected that the staff in the warehouse would have to get used to the dimming of lighting, but it does not bother at all. We are saving lots of energy now.
